Description

The ImmunoStar Gastrin Releasing Peptide antiserum was quality control tested using standard immunohistochemical methods. The antiserum demonstrates strongly positive labeling of rat dorsal horn of spinal cord using indirect immunofluorescent and biotin/avidin-HRP techniques. Recommended primary dilution is 1/1,000-1/2,000 in PBS/0.3% Triton X-100 - Bn/Av-HRP Technique. Staining is completely eliminated by pretreatment of 1 mL of diluted antibody with 50 µg of bombesin.

Photo Description: IHC of at stomach staining for gastrin releasing peptide. The tissue was fixed with 4% formaldehyde in phosphate buffer, before being removed and prepared for frozen sectioning. Sections were incubated at RT in 10% goat serum in PBS, before standard IHC procedure. Primary antibody was incubated at 1:2000 for 48 hours, goat anti-rabbit secondary was subsequently added for 1 hour after washing with PBS. Light microscopy staining was achieved with standard biotin-streptavidin/HRP procedure and DAB chromogen and counterstained with hematoxylin

This is our first time using this antibody (Prod ID: 20073) from ImmmunoStar. It works beautifully in our immunohistochemical assays on mouse dorsal tissues. We used 1:2000 dilutions. It is one of the best ones among similar antibodies we have tested from other vendors. We would like to recommend this item to our colleagues.

I have a question regarding your antibody for Bombesin item 20073. Do you have more details on the epitope that this antibody is detecting or in other words the sequence of the immunogen being used for producing the antibody? We are looking for an antibody that has a different immunogen used than amino acids 14 to 27 epitope.
Question By Fanny Honshoven

Here is the amino acid sequence: Glp-Gln-Arg-Leu-Gly-Asn-Gln-Trp-Ala-Val-Gly-His-Leu-Met-NH

Unfortunately I don’t have any more information on the immunogen other than this sequence.
