Product Overview:

This product contains the immunoglobulin fraction of rabbit anti-GFAP serum. The antigen GFAP (M.W. 50 kD) was isolated from bovine spinal cord. In the central nervous system, the antiserum stains astrocytes and some groups of ependymal cells. Schwann cells, satellite cells and enteric glial cells stain in the peripheral nervous system.

Controls:

This antibody has been shown to react strongly with human GFAP as well as with GFAP from rat, mouse, guinea pig, hamster, kangaroo, sheep, cat and monkey. Excellent staining results were obtained when rabbit anti-glial fibrillary acidic protein serum was tested.
